One of the things that irritates me, and probably you, too, is that before Boris Johnson walked into the House of Commons on Tuesday - to justify why he misled Parliament 'at the earliest possible opportunity' - he already knew that he had the eyes of the nation transfixed on him and truly believed that whatever he said, would be enough to absolve him of any wrongdoing.
Such is the narcissism.
But it’s not confidence that dictates this approach. At least not necessarily.
It's arrogance.
