Déjà vu: when 'big' jobs are given to naive politicians
There is a sense of déjà vu surrounding Dominic Raab at the minute - centralised around the issue of Rishi Sunak’s ‘judgement’; or rather, the Prime Minister’s understanding of ‘integrity, professionalism and accountability at every level.’
A view exists within certain portions of the mostly Conservative-backing, so-called independent media that when it comes to stories like those reflecting on allegations of Dominic Raab’s conduct, they are essentially non-stories sat on for months (sometimes years) - often by the so-called ‘left wing’ media - that, when it suits them, can trot out at a moment’s notice when it appears opportunistic to do so - as a means of pursuing a ‘certain narrative’.
It’s a view.
Though it is also wrong.
