But what if we just don't care? The biggest issue for Sunak is that his deal won't make a difference where it counts

Not to be too contrarian but amid the vibes over Rishi Sunak's so-called 'Windsor Framework' it’s easy to forget that it was the Conservatives that presided over the mess to begin with.

The revisionist approach [note: ‘Amnesia’] that is being taken by the Conservatives - and many in Westminster who apparently support Sunak - is bizarre to say the least. 

Indeed, the idea that finally Brexit is now “done” - like, properly done this time; at least pending ERG and DUP approval - discounts all the many times that Britain was assured by the Conservatives that it was "done" before. 

Even when it turns out that it wasn't and needed to be “fixed” by Rishi Sunak’s own admission. 

Praise for Sunak is rather short-lived when you realise that the entirety of the Brexit language and boosterism was based on this almighty fallacy that millions believed.
