Conservatives would be wise to speak to Boris Johnson's ex-wives and girlfriends in determining whether it's likely he'll change
Readers of my page will know from time to time that I like to examine the psychology of Boris Johnson and this interview with the Prime Minister - courtesy of BBC’s Mishal Husain - provides a rare moment of self-awareness.
Among the many things Johnson says in this interview, one of the key-lines he states is:
Who is it aimed at?
More than anybody, it appears to be aimed at the Conservatives themselves who seem to take this approach that they are waiting for the man to change before they determine whether or not they support him.
In essence, Johnson at this time appears to be having the same discussion with Conservative MPs that he has perhaps had with long-suffering wives and girlfriends in his lifetime who were so appalled by his behaviour yet clung on in vain hope that he might alter course or change his ways.
