The developing row that pits Labour against farmers, wealthy landowners, and cynical politicians and public figures looking to weigh into the debate over inheritance tax really is a testament to how skewed mainstream media coverage is towards wealth. 

One of the problems that Labour have in the argument, however, is much of the issue stems from sections of the public whose votes they cultivated during the general election. 

It goes back to an old stat that this page used to pull out whenever I wanted to illustrate the problem that a growing number of former Conservatives voters were turning to other parties in so-called ‘Blue Wall’ and rural constituencies.
