Boris Johnson and the Attack of the Big, Red Lefty Menace Blob
"Camouflage. So [the Commies] can't see me - they're everywhere, Chief!"
Boris Johnson’s resignation statement in full:

Far from being a call-to-arms for his supporters and loyal MPs and Lords, it is actually a temper tantrum.
The terrifying part about it, however, is that Johnson and his supporters - obsequious and slavish in their devotion to him, their numbers dwindling by the day - probably believe every single word of it.
What you have to remember about Johnson and his supporters is that they are all still operating in 'Boris as World King' mode - he has done nothing wrong, or so they say.
The entire thing has been a ‘Witch-hunt’ from the beginning, a ‘Remoaner plot’, a ‘stitch up’, a ‘Kangaroo court’ orchestrated by the ‘Lefty’ media designed to ‘take revenge for Brexit.’
Their support, unwavering. The adulation, enduring.
In Johnson's head - and perhaps his supporters’ too - it is still 2019 and he’s winning the Brexit argument while stopping “the Lefties” from attaining power, and according to Johnson’s narrative, those who remain within ‘the establishment’ exist like some menacing, ominous and foreboding presence that lurks among the corridors of power.
They - or Andrea Jenkyns MP - call it ‘The Blob’, and like some Red Menace, McCarthyist, Cold War, Commie Mole paranoia from the 1950s, it doesn’t actually exist. ‘But you would say that,’ they would say, ‘you’re in on it!’
