'You've got 6 months': Sunak in crisis mode as the rats flee the sinking ship and those left choose rebellion
One of the broader points of my previous article was that if you follow the polls and have an interest in politics - and subscribe to this page, obviously - you’ll know that Rishi Sunak is talking nonsense each time he pledges to deliver on the Conservative Party’s agenda.
For a start, only around 20% to 30% of the entire population supports him - and even that is a tentative, ever-shifting, constantly dwindling number.
Secondly, his party won’t let him.
Every single week, Sunak comes to the House of Commons and reveals some new measure to tackle ‘a problem’ or some grand policy to tackle yet another crisis - ‘Mr. Sunak’s Big Ideas’ - and every single week opposition parties are gifted with the ability to nonchalantly bat off every single word that comes out of Sunak’s mouth.
They can do so because they know, just as I know, just as you know, that the Conservatives know, that Sunak is more or less toast.
