I’ve said it previously on this page but every single week I witness Rishi Sunak at Prime Minister’s Questions and he just seems to become weaker and more febrile.

But it wasn’t just Prime Minister’s Questions this week where Sunak embarrassed himself.

💥💥💥 Amazing question from @ChiOnwurah, who asks Sunak directly to apply his asylum policy to her own family history. Sunak waffles nervously, trying to avoid looking at her saying "answer the question". Watch, as he finally looks her way. He actually CLOSES his eyes! ~AA

Sunak gave a speech on the contentious subject of ‘illegal immigration’ that was equally if not more embarrassing by reason of Sunak himself making a cacophony of dog-whistles, seemingly to distract from the myriad of crises facing the country elsewhere, whilst quite obviously whilst simultaneously not belieiving a word of any of what he was saying AND - crucially - none of which actually seemed ‘that’ remarkable.
