Dejected, deflated and downcast: The Tory Party Conference was like the last days of Rome

Birmingham is “a dump” according to Chair of the Young Conservatives Daniel Grainger. 

This should have served as an omen of things to come as it was one of the first insights the public had into how smoothly the Conservative Party conference was likely to operate. 

And it was a disaster.
