One thing I touched upon last week with my ‘Rishi’s reset nightmare’ article was that if anybody thought the appearance of David Cameron was in any way to make it appear as though Sunak was pivoting towards the ‘centre’ and/or ‘moderate’ ground, they would be very much mistaken. 

The reason being that David Cameron was never a ‘moderate’ and/or ‘centrist’ Prime Minister.

Indeed, for anybody who feels as though the term ‘moderate’ applies to Cameron, I ask them a single question: what was ‘moderate’ about deliberate, targeted policy choices that led to the deaths of an estimated 335,000 people via austerity?
