Barbara Faversham is an unassuming 78 year old from Eastbourne who told the Daily Mirror in August that she:
“...liked Boris - all right he made a few mistakes but don’t we all? I would much prefer him to stay. He has made his apologies and look how he has been going out to Ukraine.”
Barbara’s voice is one of many; hers represents a number of people who would perhaps like to see Boris Johnson return to Downing St - or to have remained there.
An important point however, is that Barbara’s voice is marginal. Although despite being marginal, Barbara’s views [from August], or others - particularly MPs who supported Boris Johnson’s return over the weekend - is not as a result of some strange form of amnesia.
It’s more nightmarish and terrifying than that.
